Well ended up having me bring this Sysco to the yard because Baugh is closed on the weekends or on Sat at least. Hook my Sumner load to move it to a better spot so I can get out Monday at 0200 and of course there are some burned out lights cuz the knucklehead that dropped this trailer at the HP plant didn't bother to inspect and fix anything.....hell even the local that picked this up yesterday could have had the trailer shop pop new ones in before dropping right quick.....guess Ill see if I can get breakdown to send someone over cuz I don't think the weekend crew here will fix them. Hate to have to drive Monday in the dark with them burned out, get paranoid Ill get pulled over and have to tell the officer Abilene was too cheap to send someone to fix them, lol!

Finally left the yard about noon yesterday after my mini vacation. The loading dock was busier then usual, including my load, there was 6 trailers of LTL freight to load. I hooked my trailer then got to work helping out with the loading. The trailer that was assigned to me was a 67xx series, beat to hell. I told Ciprio to hold on, grabbed the yard truck, and ran out and found a 10xxx series to load. With this load I have, I’m not spending 1 moment worrying about the trailer having issues.
Speaking of the load, this is the longest load I have ever done, not just working here at Abilene, but anytime during the last 44 years. It starts in Richmond, first drop is in Lakeside Montana, then goes to Temecula California and finals in Oakland. Paid miles is 4277. Here’s a snapshot of the TO (load assignment) and a picture of my route. It’s scheduled to be empty Friday afternoon with just enough time left to do a reset in Santa Nella.Flatbedder 1966, xlsdraw, Rugerfan and 5 others Thank this. -
If that load is anything like the Marlon Specials I've done, those deliveries in California are going to be an adventure.

Nothing is off limits on what we talk about, from operations to toilet paper. Oh wait, those two items are pretty much the same.
