You say we don't know how to drive down here? I thought all those cars and trucks in the ditches had Kansas tags. lol

It is still snowing here and has been since yesterday afternoon and we got rain before that. Luckly I got home and got my trailer loaded before it hit. I have a friend who is stuck at the Petro in Amarillo and doesn't know when he will get out. I-40 was closed in western Oklahoma due to weather and power lines across the roads last night.

My dispatcher wanted me to take the load south to Decatur, TX and unload this morning but I just laughed and said no I am already home it's going to get bad and last time I checked my name was on the title and registration. I will unload it Monday morning.

Congrads Kansas, glad to hear things are looking up and hope you keep it busy. I looked for you the other day when I loaded next to Horizons. You have a white Volvo? Their was a few trucks waiting in line when I left but I didn't see any Volvo's.

Don't blame you about not unloading until Monday. How much did you get? We have 5-6 and it's still snowing. Trucks know how to drive there but cars I'm not so sure about.

We got 9" of snow so far with ice underneath it. They say it is suppose to stop around 8 or 9 tonight.

9" of snow with ice underneath! That would be nasty stuff for Wisconsin. For Oklahoma its just downright mean. :biggrin_25510:

I'd agree with that. I guess we had 8 inches but luckily no ice.

John, its blue with yellow lettering. Gonna stick around just long enough to come up with a down payment and then ill hit the road again.

Buddy of mine called earlier, he's pulls a tanker. Said he was going through Pauls Valley in a construction zone 30mph. Lost the highway from the blowing snow, said he nearly went off road so he's shutting it down for the night.

19 and snowing like crazy here, but no ice, thank goodness. sounds like you got the worst of it,Big John,i hate ice under snow, thats where i draw the line trucking.I can handle driving in a little snow,or a little ''rough''ice, but i just can't get a feel of the road with ice under snow:biggrin_2554:,maybe i'm a scardy-cat. Good luck and be safe out there fellers, like my pappy always says, safety never takes a vacation. i hope everybody's electricity stays on in this mess
