Try gently but firmly...
Clamp vise grips on the top part of chain close to the sprocket. Turn nut left, v/grips will jam and hold you .
If no go, clamp on lower part of chain and turn right, v/grips will jam and hold you.
If neither will break it loose... and another nut is obtainable. Rig as above(with a helper) and use a sharp cold chisel against nut to jar it loose. Sometimes shock is more effective than torque. Shade tree methods....Last edited: Jul 18, 2022
