I'd go the paint route. If a wrap gets any scratches or damage it's a real pain to correct. Paint can easily be repaired versus a big giant cheesy sticker.

I'd go paint simply because I think vinyl is ugly.

I'm gonna try to attach a few pictures it's been forever since being regular on here.
We wrapped two trailers at 8k each, which was about half the quote to paint them.
Vinyl is metallic flake background Avery.

We don't plan on keeping the trailers more than 5-6 years then peeling and replacing with new again.
What's best depends on your business plan for the trailer and needs... Yano...

We did vinyl 'billboard' logos on a bunch of our trailers.

The first few, we were told should go 8 -10 years before fading becomes an issue.

We just did few more and they indicated this is an improved product with a brighter look and , hopefully, a longer lifespan.

Takes then a day or two to finish both sides and apply a smaller 'logo' to the front and rear.

Look great and is holding up well but I'm sure as time goes on we will see rips and tears and road rash.

On a tractor I would only wrap those areas that won't see flying rocks and debris.

It was interesting to watch how they use heat guns and a flat piece of plastic to make the wrap cling around all the seams and ribbits on the side of the trailers.

It is pricy to cover most of the side of a 53' trailer but they look really good and you can't miss who owns the trailer.

@W Bench Farms. I passed your place on the way to West Pointe today. Saw the FLD so of course I had to look. Then saw the name on the door.

    This is all wrapped
The new vinyl materials if you go with a good product like 3M is much better than just a few years ago and have colors that are hard to tell from paint

Patching any damage isn’t as hard as you’d think. Simply replace that section like a fender

I no longer have this truck but it was done in 2019 I think for around $5500 with the trailer bulkhead done to match
If you didn’t do the trailer or the skirts it should be quite a bit less but that was 3 years ago

I was on with Long Haul then and all their trucks that are company rigs are all vinyl

I vote paint removing the old wrap and the glue sucks and I believe the paint will hold up longer.
