I guess because The OM likes the truth.

Not being an educated man, as our esteemed members are, I rely on The OM.

The OM always maintains that tiny details speak volumes about people.

    Like saying something is photoshopped.

That tells us some of the most esteemed have never even sniffed that kind of money.

But they will continue to double down on falsehoods in an attempt to influence the unknowing.

We don’t discuss money here. Oh by the way, here’s a copy of my revenue. Pay no attention to the vague descriptions, no need for any further explanations. I’ve know over a dozen Landstar Operators over the years. Only two that really do well, and have stayed. One has a new Conestoga, the other has a RGN. The others were all blowing smoke. 67% if 98% and paying trailer rental, or 73% if 98% owning a Trailer. Charge backs for everything. It doesn’t take them long to figure out they’re only making a few cpm more than the average Mega Lease O/O. Between Agents running their own Trucks, and more recently, Agents double brokering loads with no oversight by Landstar, they’re a joke. But some people need that false sense of security provided by large companies.

I’m just going by what was posted over the last couple days. It reminds me of a teenager trying to convince his friends that he has sexual experience.

I need the machine shop to get done with my 383 short block so I can stick it back in my pickup.

I studied it for a bit and I figure that’s high on costs for a standard 5 axle truck running a standard 10k miles a month. But it’s closer to the truth than anyone here wants to admit. It’s certainly closer than $1.30-$1.40 a mile.

It’s definitely high. I run pretty close to that with and 8 axle lowboy. With a new truck and the payment and insurance that goes along with it. Now granted a lot of fools paid what I did for a freight truck, but that’s on them.
