I drove the maroon trucks and can relate my experience. Only go Glass Div if you are going to do a dedicated account, if you are OTR and sitting at say Burkburnett, TX...the dedicated guys will get loads before they load you. And Glass Div goes to Canada so to maximize your mileage potential you need the jab. It takes 3-5 hours to unload a trailer of glass, and just as long to load it and secure it. The plus side is that you will get a lot of deadhead miles.

Flatbed, you should be making 80k-90k within 6 months IF you work hard and smart. Deliver early/on-time and keep moving. They tarp a ton of freight just like TMC, but they carry 4' drops and 8' drops so it isn't horrible.

I will tell you Detention Pay starts at 2hrs, regardless of customer. Breakdown Pay starts as soon as you send it in on the ELD. Fuel just about any PFJ/Love's, they let you decide. The quarterly bonus is easily achievable @ .06/mile paid out weekly the following quarter. You pick your route, all tolls paid, no questions asked. I would go days without talking to FM, but I was rolling after 10 and never late. Have to wash your truck every 15 days, they quit dispatching after 20 days until it's washed and they have truck washes at 2 of their main terminals.

It has been this week when I have realized that she is not going to be able to put the cancer back in the cage as she has in the past. It has been this week that I have realized that this incredible woman is slipping away from all who know and love her.
It has been this week where I have realized that she will not be at the other and of the phone to celebrate the victories or commiserate life's bumps along the road. She could take a bad situation and in no time have you laughing about it. Her dry humor got her and us, through some really terrible situations. It was this week where we all realized that she truely won't be a part of our lives forever. But this, this is far to soon.

I will be leaving this afternoon with Little Man. He starts school on Monday and is looking forward to it. All of us and the grandchildren had Mom to teach the advanced mathmatics. He will miss the way she turned calculus into something simple to understand. As I hold his hand and face the future without her, I realize all they ways she made the path smoother for all of us without making a fuss about it, she just took care of it quietly. I hope I can continue that grace as my brothers and I become the senior generation on her passing.

Changes have been made to the bike trip. The bikes have been
trailered out to San Diego. She will fly in (Monday) and ride north. Then she will fly home.
