With prices of 22.5 x 8.25 wheels agreed, but with 24.5's it was cost effective. This conversion was on a center unload tank so height was critical.

I guess. I could get you a pickup load by the end of the day of used wheels.spsauerland Thanks this. -
Since the center bore and bolt circle are the same. The stud holes on the pilot wheels can have the tapered seats cut in them to work with the old pilot “Budd” system. Folks are doing it all the time to put new aluminum wheels on old trucks that did not have them originally.

If your wanting to change a 95 it’s pretty likely you can change the studs and nuts and keep the rest. If your hubs have the centering bosses on the hubs that will catch the pilot hole in the rim there are probably m22 studs out there that will fit
I have changed several truck tractors from the 90s with standard parts. But they must have supports like in the pictures or it won’t workGambino1994 and spsauerland Thank this. -
jamespmack and W923 Thank this.

Yup my hubs have them smooth centering bosses on them. I only ask because a parts guy was unsure of my setup when I bought new drums, an old parts guy said my brake drum might work on either style wheel. I know the stud holes in my drums are quite a bit bigger than the budd studs in the hubs which makes me unsure about the drums being correct. Never had a problem in six years tho, but nobody touches my wheels/tires/brakes except me

The holes in the drums are typically pretty oversized even for hp studs. Some apear to possibly only be cast or punched and not drilled/machined. Anything goes with the chicoms.
If you have the support bosses I would probably see how they fit a hp rim and if good knock out one stud to measure where it goes in the hub
