Otherwise known as the 'Jack of all Trades' syndrome?
(Don't know if something is called that, I just made it up. But it seems to fit.)

Most of my jobs have been a hobby as well, so I can understand how you think.
In high school I was a con-man for a hobby. I could tell tales of my time in high school.
A bit later on it was bartender and waiter.
Computer tech was a hobby that turned into a few jobs, but still always stayed a hobby.

My longest running hobby is driving.
That started when I first learned to drive a car, and it is still with me today.
I used to get off work as a waiter/bartender at 1600, drive 210 miles to Reno or Tahoe to gamble a few bucks to make a few or lose a few, drive back and be back at work at 0900. Mainly all for the drive.

So I finally got a job doing my all time long term hobby of driving. This time in a big truck.
But I still treat and consider the job as my hobby.
I am not out here to make big bucks, but to do what I love to do most.

Welcome to my world, but disciplined ADD can be an asset. Most people abhor change, we ADD/ADHD folks, crave it. :) But in regards to trucking, ADD is a definite plus as you are always checking things, moving your eyes, looking around noticing little things that catch our attention in your picture view. Years ago, I felt my ADHD was a hinderance, as you point out, but the fact is, all that time and switching gave me a plethora of skills that people without ADD/ADHD, can't seem to make themselves change to do different things. WE are not cursed with that affliction. :)
Celebrate and embrace this gift. :)

I thought once below a certain income, Obamacare wasn’t an option, because you automatically qualify for Medicaid. That was the case for my wife and I, We had Obamacare, and my daughter was on the policy, when my wife got a job w/ benefits, we dropped the Obamacare. The Job wanted a crazy high price to add my daughter. I decided to buy her a stand alone policy. No luck, She was in college, only working part time. Making less than 17k a year. Only choice was Medicaid. It surprisedly worked out real well. Drs. Visits, $3, and prescriptions $2. Her insulin wasn’t much if anything.

Because it takes too much time from ones life. Might be able to study online, and get a degree. Anything’s possible. Would still be hard, while running a Truck. Not like a 40 or 50 hr 5-6 day normal job.

My daughter says I’m definitely on the spectrum. Lol. I might need some of that Adderol. I wonder if it’s possible to Drive while taking it? Hmmmm.

You definitely saw how radio changed from it's golden days to what it is now. Yes me too, glad it was never really a full time career for me either, I did radio as a side gig while I was a police officer, which I retired from. Couldn't count on radio as a stable job...but dang it was fun while it lasted.

You're right, Medicaid or in our case Medical would be the only option if we didn't qualify for Obamacare. In our case, our regular physicians don't accept Medical patients, so we want to stick with an Obamacare plan.
