I would not wait for spring to work for them. TN seems to be a sweet spot for enough winter and enough salt/plows to treat the roads. KY DOT seems to wait for spring. Being cautious or timid is a pretty good mindset to start with tanker or fuel. I would probably already have worked for Eagle if I didn't have a one hour commute each direction to start/end my day. Before I went out West Eagle was working 12 hour days 5 or 6 days a week. My friend said he was working 8 hours most days. I'm trying to decide if I'm retired, looking for another type of work, or going to drive again.

On the other side of the mountains here in NC we have different winters. We dont get powdered snow. We get a layer of ice, then heavy wet snow, topped off with a layer of ice. People who haven't lived here long realize that after the usual "yall just dont know how to drive in snow" comment followed up swiftly with them speed dialing AAA.

I just got on at Hickory, NC days. The salary cap seems to be 85k. Home every night, 2 days off, 401k, full insurance, safety and experience bonuses...

They had nights Charlotte. I'm waiting for nights Hickory. Haven't seen any seniority or bid stuff yet...

It's the only non-OTR non-O/O tanker company I could find close
