Then why are you using a very specific sign, that has specific laws that specifically say where the speed limit change is located at for an example of general signs?

No, the sign means what it means, but even if it wasn't there doesn't change the fact you were not a a truck route.

You should’ve went one more street north to Edison Ave and then turned right onto Edison Ave.

Edison Ave is a good route for trucks.

just like NY and NYC, signs are way up the poles.....reason for it in those places, were to keep the punks from painting over them, or stealing them

so, IF you ever get out to NY, and NYC, you had better check the upper parts of all poles.

i'd venture to guess, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, and many other high traveled cities, are like this too.

it's really only a "civil offense", meaning no DMV, no points, much like here in my area, a quickie fine...

had it been a traffic violation,, THEN getting a traffic lawyer would be called to plea it down,as all the city wants is the money.

just pay the fine, it ain't gonna count against you, and be sure to look up the poles, and every other place for signage.

you'll survive this, but the NEXT TIME..??

you may get slammed with a heavy all points in, ticket.

The last time I got an out of route ticket was many years ago, going north on Bloomfield from the 91 to Alondra in Cerritos.
He was a local cop And the ticket was less than $100.
This was new as they had just put up the signs sometime Since the last time I drove on that road and that day, and I told him that.
It is what it is, if you want to play the game you gotta pay. lol
