W900 , Changed out my antenna today from a Stryker SA-2A to a Sirio Performer with a new bracket, screwed the coax back in , I turned the switch on to roll the window up , the radio powered up but was really low volume from what it usually sounds like. I actually had to turn the volume up louder to hear it. I didn't have time to put the meter on it today so I just turned it off. Why would just putting a different antenna on make the volume do that?
Have a quick question Sirio Performer antenna?

No don't think I did , all I did was turned the switch on to roll the window down and turned it off. Changed the antenna out, and turned the switch back on to roll the window up. When the radio powered up it just wasn't as loud as before. I don't think I even touched the radio.

In the morning, I'm going to go down the road to a clear spot and hook the meter to it. I got a power line right over my yard, so I can't do it here.

Well I went and checked, SWR was through the roof, so was going to remove the Sirio until I can get a antenna analyzer on it, the end of the coax just didn't seem right so I put my Stryker back on and new coax . Thanks for the replies.

Well it's back down to 1.6 and the volume back up to normal. I believe it was the coax in conjunction with the new un-adjusted antenna.
