I’ll look in a day or 2. My truck is parked in front of the house but I have no desire to enter it today! I have off till Wednesday….
But I am pretty sure it’s the ABS system box. Most of the fuses are under dash on pass side….

Are you sure nothing was assigned to you? The loads don’t always show up until you out in your empty call.

I had weekend dispatch call me for clarification on some of the notes Travis had on my truck pertaining to my current delivery. Before we hung up I asked if they had anything in mind so I knew which way to head after empty so I didn't add extra miles...he said there wasn't anything assigned.

Did you have the same 'heavy haul securement' training on the monthly Carriers Edge system or is that for just us new hires?

Dang it, not having a preplan always bugs me. I’m never late and generally deliver within a few hours of my pta from the beginning of the load. So let’s have something for me when I get to the other end!

We all get the same training as far as I know. I did receive that but haven’t looked at it yet. I’ll do it when I head back out in the road. Currently relaxing at home.

Tuesday I have a 300 mile round trip with the giant industrial lego box. A6804F56-B325-4F75-A0C1-7C4D53A436D0.jpeg
Then wendsday or Thursday I’m loading a 15’ tall oven going to a baking expo. Should be interesting at just under 17’ tall on the trailer for 2000 miles.

I might have caught them off guard a little on Thursday when I updated them with a Monday delivery, the load info said it was a Monday delivery, but had my PTA set for Tuesday. Once I got thru to the customer and found out they're open a half a day on Monday I sent Travis a txt. He said the planner was off for that region and someone else was covering for her.

As for the training, I figured with your experience here you wouldn't need a refresher course on securing heavy haul freight...you even get a certification card once you complete it. I was hoping that it was a stepping stone to the next level of my open deck evolution.

Something positive...load info says the loaded miles are 3006 miles, the Nag-a-gator says I will have run 3009 miles at the delivery. 3 miles over on a 3000 mile run...WOW

The training is just part of the on going training they are required to provide. Usually don’t learn much but it’s much better then the last program they tried to use. That thing sucked. You couldn’t skip forward, had to watch all the videos, often close to an hours worth. Some I’ve the videos even repeated them selfs, word for word, for minutes one end.

This program you can speed read, skip forward to the test, and usually get the required 80% to pass.

Moore's safety videos were like that...no skipping and safety would randomly check driver's logs because they wanted you ON duty while you were watching. But, the positive, they didn't have a wide variety of videos so every year, we watch the same ones as last year so you could push play, then go do something else and then take the same test as last year.

I once or twice actually, bobtailed from Calgary BC to Toronto, without leaving Canada, and then down to Fort Wayne Indiana.
I was working for Navistar at the time and on a new truck dealership show...it was a long ways though. 4,000 miles give or take a Province....
