That’s me in 1977, only difference to the way I dress is square tail shirts untucked and no belt buckle 71B9BB48-A5B1-484D-9040-D51A07C20091.jpeg

It seems I stirred up controversy. It wasn’t my intent. My comment was more about how sloppy the drivers outfit looked than more of what he was wearing. Sloppy appearance probably means he is sloppy with every other aspect in his life. Especially his job.

I get that shorts are probably more culturally acceptable to a man born and raised in the South Pacific. So certain leeway has to be given to him. I also understand if you deliver boats or pools it’s probably okay to show up looking like Jimmy Buffet.

However for me, and this is strictly my opinion. Shorts are a no go, dirty blue jeans are a no go, pocket Tee’s are undershirts and a proper shirt has buttons. Also you should tuck your shirt in, wear a belt and leather boots of some sort. Long hair is a no and you should be clean shaven or at a minimum your beard should be groomed.

These are all just my opinions and I’m not judging…. Well unless you are sloppy and stink. Then I and everyone else in the world is probably judging you to some extent.

About that time I was a pretty sloppy dresser and often smelled bad, with the occasional unattended mess in my britches out in public.

But - I was only 2 years old then.

This is me in early Feb, 1978, in the 1976 Mack Cruiseliner I drove then. Picture taken by my GF at the time. On the way home after an almost week long trip.

Acting goofy......The Lone Ranger choking his chicken.....

Drivers have nothing better to do then to comment on another drivers clothing. Go work new York fashion week if they care that much.. I could care less how someone dresses unless they work for me or theyre clothing is making my work area unsafe. Which has never happened.
