I’ll take a conastoga over tarps anyway but you’re right. The Inside of the trailer never get washed and they are filthy. I had a load get stuck inside one because it somehow grew two inches in height during the trip. After crawling around on the load messing with the tarp I was at least three shades darker.

Oh, my load is going to a welding fab shop in Dayton, not Toledo.

Found a way to annoy those chatty "Karens" in Walmart that stand on opposite sides of the same isle just jawing and not letting anyone with a cart thru. You take out your phone, leave your cart about 10’ away, walk in between them and stop, pretending to talk on your phone. And say the words, "no, there isn't anyone else here, I am at the end of the socializing isle..."

    Ok.
Well if that's acceptable for you, carry on. I certainly couldn't do it.

How much money does one really need to make? Drivers like snackbar will easily make over 100k per year. I run hard with mostly oversize and will do 130k. I could give a #### about holiday pay.

Don't see the big deal...the only holiday that matters is Christmas. The rest are a waste of my time. Most companies I have worked for, both inside trucking and out, didn't even compensate for any holidays you didn't work.

I drive for a recycling company. I get paid for major holidays (as long as it falls on a weekday).

I heard the words you generally only hear from customers when you're pulling an open deck, with a load that arrived undamaged...while inspecting the load before unloading it he said "man, am I glad to see this"....makes one feel appreciated as a truck driver.
