JK has some nice looking rides, for sure. I think that's the first time I've seen one with a spread axle trailer, though.

NightWind, staceydude and motocross25 Thank this.

Yep all our short trailers are spreads. I wish our long ones were, but I’m not the one footing the bill.

I’m bedding down in Tifton tonight for my 2nd night out! Been a long time since I’ve done this, but bossman offered me a Scottsboro with a turn around out of Birmingham paying way too good to say no. It’s been a relaxing few days, hate to say it but I might miss the overnighters a little bit :)

Ayup still alive and kicking. Just got my truck out of the shop again and grabbed a load of gravel from up north heading to KC this morning. Been sitting on my ### since lasy friday. Luckily aside from my front crank seal blow and taking a couple extra days to source parts it was all scheduled.

Another load of turnings for me from down in south Florida heading back up to Scottsboro to start my week again, a couple of nights out then finish up the week around the house. So far so good on a schedule like this, @motocross25 looking like we might be neighbors here shortly, Jackson MO has become high on our priority list of places to relocate to by the end of the year. 4E4E6687-9BD0-498E-9414-3E97AE785521.jpeg

Did you walk over to take that picture from there because you wanted to, or is that one of those type places that make you get out of the truck when you’re loading? Also that’s exciting news about the move! Are you gonna stay with your company or do I need to have my work get a Peterbilt detailed for you? :)

You nailed it, “drivers waiting area”, in probably the hottest summer heat I’ve felt in all of my life living down here. I’m trying to stay where I’m at if I can, but I’m not sure that I want to commit to five days gone from the house again, a few nights a week is fine. There’s a handful of companies I have in mind, your set up down in southeast MO would be great but I’m not sure if that’s an option with JK? Of course there’s Bucheit and woody bogler as well as beelman, and southern Illinois express has a terminal in town. I’ve also spoke to a company who is the trucking side of imperial aluminum, doing dedicated work out of Briggs and Stratton in poplar bluff going down to alabama, so there’s more than a few options. The first task of course is going through with the move.

I hate those driver waiting areas. There’s a dump of a scrap yard in KC that literally just has an area. A painted yellow box on the ground. No overhang, nothing. Out there standing in the heat, and the rain and the snow while they’re screwing around with trying to get their mag to work. Yea dude idk I know JK goes to Alabama a LOT and bring coke back to KC. We even have an office down there somewhere. Might be worth a phone call if your gig isn’t going to pan out. But like you said that all down there is Woody Bogler and Beelmans bread and butter. I think Bogler even runs a couple day cabs down that way there’s some monster cement plants down there. Like you said tho, after your move it’ll all get sorted out. If you need help unloading when you move up here gimme a shout dude, I’ll make the trip.

Had a fun one today. Had to dump in a bin at a an angle, while blind, with a power line just above my truck in a way that i had to have my trailer pull forward as it dumped, while it came off a concrete pad with zero room infront of my rig to manuvere and zero help form a spoter lol.. got er done though. As the old saying goes get out and look many many many many times.
