What is best way to handle door knockers?
99% of the time is people asking for money.
If someone wakes me up I tend to get real violent but I do my best to hold back.
How best to handle it?
I've heard stories of people refusing to give money and then their truck was messed with.
I like the idea of staying in sleeper and not even looking out or responding.
If they catch u up front I find it fun when they knock to roll down the window and ask them if they got any space change before they get a chance to ask you.
That really catches them off guard.
Any other ideas?

Best way is to let them in and tell her you’ll pay her to just sit there and be quiet and you’ll only pay if she makes no noise. Challenge accepted.

A lot of this must depend on where you park???
in the past 15 years I’ve had maybe 4 people knock on my doorMartinFromBC, bentstrider83, BennysPennys and 7 others Thank this. -
Just ignore them or politely decline. I’ve never had anyone mess with my truck. If you want to have some fun, offer them a can of food or a job application and they will turn away in bewilderment.

I was OTR for three years in the very beginning of my career. I had maybe a couple door knockers. I just acted like I didn't hear anything (or wasn't in the truck), and checked my truck in the morning.
After I went LTL I've only been approached on lunch breaks and the like. I carry an emergency $40 with me, but I always seem to forget that when they ask. Bad memory.OLDSKOOLERnWV, Sirscrapntruckalot, bentstrider83 and 7 others Thank this. -
The dog going berserk usually works, they leave, the ones that stop me going to the shower or restaurant, I usually reach in my pocket and grab a loonie, says I'm Canadian dont carry US cash just cards, but you can have this loonie.... they just walk away. Lol.

I haven’t had any issues but I’m selective of where I park. Even in Phoenix the Flying J across from Danny’s isn’t bad since they’ve hired security. They do pretty well at keeping the lot clean of panhandlers. Of course the 55 pounds of not much fun that looks at people when they walk by the truck might keep them from approaching mine, too.
