Man driving toward W Mph on old bridge and runs up on a hayseed herding a bunch of shoats along. He idles up close, works around and inquires:
Q: Where you going with the hogs .A: Mans says: Little Rock. Q: Why, South Mphs Stockyards right here. A: SM only paying 39 cents, LR paying 46 cents.
Q: But man, think how long it will take to get them hogs over there. A: So what's time to a hog?

Always wondered how/if those tongue studs affected vacuum. Another missed opportunity.

That "eye" in that bulge just to the right of the "crevice" caught my eye right off. Fine ink work the on the brow...

I was right behind that this morning. Some FFE truck. Right as I pass thru Quanah cops start chasing him going south on 287. He was creeping along at points doing less than 5mph. Would stop and then go several times. Eventually they blocked the road just out of sight but apparently the driver ended up getting out shooting at the cops so the cops ended him. The co driver got airlifted out. Ended up sitting behind them for several hours untill they turned everyone around and rerouted us.

 

I think mine predates 1979. Blade metal is black, those are silvery.

 

There's a bunch of different "net per month" in trucking.

I could perhaps understand that as $30k/ month net to the truck. Then carve off all the maintenance/repairs, consumables(fuel, oil, washer fluid...), insurance, and other miscellaneous business expenses........
