Sitting here in Yakima WA wondering what the hell happened to the onions this year. Seems like I haven't seen much onion volume coming out of the area this year or their just not hitting ITS. You guys notice any difference?

That explains why onion rings have been going up in price.

There's a shortage of volume in every commodity right now it seems.

Farmers may have turned to another alternative crop for a better return is always a possibility, failing that a bad season can also effect the supply, it won't bode well for those making soup. You may have to resort to hauling hay for an alternative.

I hauled hay out of Kansas once to get home. Wasn't a bad load but I was sweating everytime I thought about 1 careless cigarette.

Man, a burnt up truck that was loaded to 80 with onions. Wonder what that smell was like.
