    then he'll join a trucking website, and asking if he can still drive a truck.

    That would be the case if he was convicted in a state court.
    Unfortunately for him he was convicted in a federal court. And there’s NO EARLY RELEASE in the federal judicial system. Currently federal statutes state that you have to serve 80 to 100% of the sentence!
    So he’s definitely going to do at least 10 to 12 years-at the minimum!

    Criminal record wont keep you off the roster at most Canadian companies. Only criminal search I had was years ago for special permit in Quebec and for a 1 year contract on Her Majesty’s service
