    So because someone was speeding and didn't stop, its ok to seize property. Slippery slope.
    I wonder if they paid off the bank loan also.

    Your government said so, that's how. Funny people that actually believe government is going to allow them to own something. There is no such thing as private property, it all belongs to the state, all of it.

    Cops have been stealing cash and vehicles from people for decades in the war on drugs . Most of the time they don’t even charge the person they stole it from with a crime .
    Especially Texas , wasn’t there some town in Texas that for years just did traffic stops and stole all the cash from everyone they pulled over ?

    The state of New Jersey just stole a guys pickup truck because he advertised it in craigslist as being “deleted emissions “

    Perp was arrested for felony evading and weapons charges,which means it was a legit seizure.

    The article (and Texas’ asset forfeiture laws) say so! ;)
    DPS went in front of a judge to get authorization to seize it-the judge approved it!
