Get all your endorsements. Go to ODFL/Estes/Saia/UPS.

Make 6 figures working hard and save $60k or more over 2-3 years.

Buy your own used truck outright and lease on to a carrier.

    Just my dumb advice.

Any company that offers a lease purchase , doesn't respect their drivers.. Because if they did, they wouldn't offer a LP program.. They offer it, simply to make money and transfer risk. Nothing more nothing less.

There is plenty of companies that offer a program where it is possible to succeed, but you need to do your own research on the matter, because it ain't for everybody. It's a business and requires a business mindset.

Hey , remember it’s a “NO BASH” policy on this topic -

there’s a few here who have been successful with this business model.

    What say them?

    I did ok.
But I think it has a lot to do about the individual and how they were raised.
Plus I had a bunch of experience in the LTL world.
Leased #1 and bought it out.
    Traded #1 for #2 @around 1M miles.
Drove #2 to about 750k and sold it.

So, I did pretty ok for 8 years.

But, honestly, I think it's more about the individual than it is about a 'lease' per se.

All that said, Schneider was and is good to me.
