I miss Richardson (close to Anchorage). So fricking expensive as you know i'm sure. Unless the company is providing a locality adjustment, driving through might be the best choice. That would certainly be some insane mileage assuming the Canadians play nice. I dont think i would stay employed long unless you know of a company allowing 4 day respites for hunting/fishing? The draw is simply to strong. AwwwooooO!

Good call. Companies love doing the hiring freeze when they perceive trouble on the horizon then not tell current employees as to not discourage them with more job responsibilities. The fact that you are so passionate about the company you work for has me intrigued and then to go out on a limb for someone you barely know. Glad you found yours sir, it's a jungle out there. I might hit you up this time next year, if you dont mind, when i have more perspective as I'm in Menards backyard and FCC's area of operation.

Anything around the lakes or most of the UP for sure. So much accumulation at times plows used to not be able to keep. However WI DOT recently added the monster plows that unfold to plow 3 lines in one pass. It's why Gov.Tony Putin just needs to annex the UP already. Does anyone in the UP not on a snowmobile enjoy driving up there? Ice that stays cold offers pretty good traction unless you get fresh powder on it. Minnesota gets so darn cold does anything ever unfreeze?

I spied this nifty company. Might apply myself.

 

Destruction Bay is my favorite spot.
There's a lot of companies running regular to Alaska , Even Mercer was running flatbed there a lot last summer.Looked like it was new construction materials,

 

My post about hauling to Alaska was NOT sarcasm.
Hauling from anywhere in the lower 48 to Alaska is the dream run.
Go up, head back home, take 4 days or so off, and repeat.
Further north one goes, the less annoying the people are, cleaner it is, and less crowds. I have a truck on its way to Whitehorse right now, and that driver begs for every run she can get going there.
Problem is that everyone else also likes that run.

They come back feeling relaxed and fresh.

Honestly I wish i had 100 loads a month going there.
