    Hey everyone,

Has anyone used a One Hook Wonder?

I came across this a few weeks ago after getting so mad that my ratchet strap kept falling off so I started looking for something to help then I came across this. Take a look at the link below. I bought a few packs and it is amazing! Now I can put the hook on the rub rail and when I tighten it up the hook doesn't fall off! I highly recommend it!

No marketing here.I read mostly the Peterbilt garage posts but never really had anything to contribute until now, so I thought I would share here. not everyone is ill intentions. Just passing on something that has helped me.

I always wrapped my straps over the rub rail, one full wrap, so the hook could never come free. But, the OP looks to be a hotshot driver.

That’s what I do too. But some people don’t like to do that because if anything were to come into contact with the rub rail, it could potentially tear the strap. In fact there has been quite a bit of debate on this subject, but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with either method, just a matter of preference.

It doesn't really matter how you attach to the rub rail, or around the pocket, under the rail and thru the dale. Makes no difference. If you rub a gate, or someone backs into your rub rail with sufficient force to peel your straps loose, how you done won't matter. A bit.

It does when you’re rolling down the road and things settle. Without a full wrap, the hook is free to come loose and the strap end up wherever. That’s a potential safety issue. One has gotta’ think about scenarios/what-ifs, so one doesn’t become part of the statistics.
