Jet drill dress, some hole saws, horizontal bandsaw, Miller 252 mig welder and morning of my time! It's 2"x2" 1/4" tube with 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" 1/4" tube for sliders. 3/8" by 6" flat stock for the rest. It works awesome, sure OSHA wouldn't approve. I trust my welding more than Chinese ones I have seen. Sliders make nice from going from traditional 1.9 M width cab to the 2.1M cabs.

BoxCarKidd, prostartom and clausland Thank this.

I need to build one for the house. I built this gantry couple years ago. KIMG0072~2.JPG
Had less the $400 in steel, $50 in 2 ton hoist (told no good, just bad capacitor) and most expensive was the $450 in locking casters. Need spreader for pulling sleeper off of my 82 W9. I will be starting a thread soon...

No need to pull or raise cab. Double make sure they have a compressor before pulling it.

Can you change the bearing on the compressor after it fails ?

Had power steering and fuel pump replaced 6 weeks ago. Just lost power steering and engine light come on with fuel delivery pressure codes. Air compressor is building pressure no problems. Is it possible that the bearing went out in compressor and snapped shaft for power steering but can still build air?

The twin cylinder compressors have been available on 16 and older engines.

17 and newer single cylinder compressors are definitely hard to get and do not have the bearing failure or at least is not as common.
