There is another in Okeechobee somewhere, but I've never been there.
Not a fan of dairy loads in particular, though I can understand guys wanting to stay in FL or get home every week choosing to run them. -
RockinChair and Tanker_82 Thank this.

Haven't been that far west in 2 years. Doubt I will any time soon. Mission TX and Grand View WA are the two terminals I have yet to see.
Tanker_82 Thanks this. -
Most of the loads I pull out of there go to Spokane, California, New Jersey, and Murfreesboro. During juice harvest a lot of the loads out of Mission go to Florida.RockinChair, Speed_Drums and Redtwin Thank this. -
I forgot to add that it is in a good location. Everything is drop/hook down there at the terminal. They have a few shuttle drivers who preload everything and some come across the border. There’s a truck accessible Walmart about 2 miles down the service road, plenty of places to eat nearby, etc. It’s a safe area to sleep too, but if I’m waiting for a while I usually bobtail 24 miles to the Loves/TA in Edinburg.
Speed_Drums and Redtwin Thank this. -
Hey all. Quick question. I’ve been talking with @Redtwin for months about coming on board. My app is being processed, everything I’ve been told by everyone I’ve spoken with has all matched. Seems like for what I want/need and comfortable with is here. My only concern if you will is the parking of the truck/tanker for hometime. I live 165 miles south of Winter Haven in West Palm Beach. How will it work for hometime with the tanker? @Redtwin wasn’t sure as to the way it would work. I’m not willing to leave my car at the terminal. The last 10 years have been truck and trailer parked near the house for a week a month. Not sure IRT would want the tanker parked that long when I take hometime. TIA!

Being in Florida, you could probably even drop the tank at the customer in Arcadia and bobtail home from there. I’ve always kept the tank with me, though. In order to get you home, they may route you to Arcadia (which is a drop/hook with many staged tanks sitting there) and tell you to go home from there. If you happen to be in Winter Haven, it may be something like:
“Take this freshly washed tank from the terminal to XYZ customer and drop it, then bobtail home.”
I would bet you my next paycheck you won’t be forced to drive your personal vehicle to back and forth to the terminal.Speed_Drums, Lonesome, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sorry for the delayed reply. I haven’t been logged in this last week.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
