Is it slow out there for everybody?

enough to notice. used to be worse in July when most plants stopped production for maintenance

 

We're about 5% above where we were in income this time last year. Not real great but we're keeping our heads above water.

 

So my alcohol & food grade customers are still going strong. Water treatment slows down for us this time of year, so no surprise there. Chemicals are “soft”. Not dead, but a lot softer then they’ve been in years. We’re transiting to hauling more food grade work as it’s never really been a strong point for us, but the work is there.

This is the time of the year that manufacturing plants perform repairs to write of taxes.

 

No sooner did I get back from a short vacation and Monday all hell breaks loose and I can barely cover everything coming in. I guess it’s that time of year.
