Even so, there are ways to strip QI depending on the action, and this would likely be a case where it is stripped.
Mostly there needs to be a court case already saying it's wrong, but gross misconduct will tend to get it taken away too.

I see Colorado and New Mexico are two states that the voters elected to deny QI to all law enforcement within their state borders.

Update: The young lady is going to be charged with felony menacing but the officers directly responsible will be charged with reckless endangerment and other charges as well, including:
    Attempted manslaughter
    2nd degree assault
(both charges are felonies in the State of Colorado)

Of course she's going to be charged. That wasn't in any doubt.
After all, the cops have to CYA.

Naturally but since the whole world knows by now how those officers royally F’d up,the prosecutor might be under pressure to drop those charges.

I would expect the backlash from the public to be quite strong on this considering the circumstances…

I don't know if you know it yet, but the entire WORLD is drowning in morons.

Take the average person out there. Now remember, half of the people are dumber than he is.

Technology has bred stupidity. We have more computing power in our pockets these days than they had available in any form in the 60's, and they sent man to the moon with it. Meanwhile, we use it to berate others online, share pictures of kids and cats, and order food. What are we doing with the technology available to better ourselves? Almost nothing.

    Can’t drop the charges
That would improve her lawsuit dramatically
