I have no clue either. That's what's got me scratching my head. I've never heard of such a thing. I think she's just trying to get more money. I've heard from other people of them trying to pull stuff like this.
Has anyone ever heard of having to take the skills test with a tanker trailer?

I'm just going to wait. Having the endorsement before the license really serves no purpose. It's interesting how even the DMV can't give a straight answer though. I thought I was the only one who couldn't get them to say yes or no.
Welcome to the government, we're here to help you.... Just as long as no real thought process is involved.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Just like Ronald Reagan said that the 9 most terrifying words in the English language are, "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help." I've learned one thing in my life, you can never depend on the government. But when they need something, they depend on us.

This same thing happened to me when I got my CDL in Texas a little over a year ago. I took the tanker exam when I got my CLP. When I went to the DPS to take my skills tests, they told me that because I had the tanker endorsement on my CLP had to take the road test in a tank truck. Since I wasn't taking the test with a tanker, they had to re-issue my CLP without the tank endorsement. After I passed the pre-trip and road tests and got the paper CDL, I had to go back in and have them re-add the tank endorsement to my CDL. Which, I had to pay for, and they re-issued the CDL with the endorsement. I did not have to re-take the tank endorsement test. It sounds crazy, but that seems to be the way it is in Texas.

That's crazy man. Makes absolutely no sense why you would have to take a road test with a tanker. How did you do your training? I'm going through a mega carrier because every single class for every single community college where I'm at is full for at least a year, and the workforce grants are backed up for 6 to 7 months. And I can't afford to pay out of pocket to go to a CDL school.

Just a quick question, though. It says on the website that all new drivers get screened for sleep apnea. Is this just a bunch of questions, or does everybody go through a sleep study? Or do only the people that fit the criteria for sleep apnea go through the sleep study? I've ready some horror stories about them sending people through the sleep study that don't even need the study done, and don't even have sleep apnea, and end up having problems down the road due to complications because they can't sleep. -
