My order slot for a 389X is still not showing a build date, but I went ahead and told my salesman I’m not interested. No worries. He made two phone calls and had it bought on the second call.

My dad is finally going to “retire” after the first of the year and I’ll probably end up selling the 2019 389 he is driving. Wondering if I can squeeze $140k for it lol

    Rideandrepair and dwells40 Thank this.

Was the price on the 389X $300K? My salesman said told me that and he couldn't even believe it.

My friend here in town just took delivery of a 389. Cummins, 48” flattop, factory stripes. It was $217k after they painted the fuel tanks and def cover. He has 2 ordered for next year that are 280”WB, 63” standup, inverter and fridge, two color paint, but the only slots he could get were with Paccar engines. They’re coming in at just over $220k. The dealers that are jacking the prices up are just gouging their customers and using the end of the 389 as an excuse to do so.

He has a couple of 990’s and a couple W900’s coming but I didn’t ask what the price is on those ones.

Oh ya my salesman just flat out told me thats what they are doing. I believe he said PACCAR normally gives a 22% discount off the MSRP but for the 389's it's only 14% (all other models are still 22%).

More power to them if there's demand. I'd just hate to see what their order book is going to be in 2024. You'd think anybody who wants a 389 is ordering it next year and isn't waiting to see what the 589 looks like.

    Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

This was sent to me today. Who’s got the deep pockets and wants a glider?

Judging by the dust nobody is biting. I sure as hell wouldn't fork out that even for a finished glider.

Someone backed out on some 389s. I think it's just the tip of the iceberg...

The dust is from sitting there since they left the dealer a couple years ago. I imagine they’re fine with them staying in the shed until someone has the right amount of cash. There’s probably two people in the world who are anti emission and anti ELD thar they’ll drop a retarded amount of money to have one.

I would bet that there will be a lot of orders arriving at the Stealerships due to "buyers" not being able to complete the sale in the near future.
