More problems on this load. Tablet said delivery was for today at 1400. But Gordon Foods said my appointment is tomorrow at 1400. Called and Jenn said she also saw today at 1400. She sent an email out to people but I've yet to hear back. Oh well. At least this time I'm stuck in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and not the outskirts of Camden, New Jersey. Plus there's a Kwik Trip down the street if i need food or something.

If any of you haven't been to any of the Kwik Trips here in Wisconsin or Minnesota, I'd highly recommend stopping by one. They're miles better than your standard PFJ or Love's, in that they sell actual edible food that you would want to eat, plus a lot of other things. It's like a mini grocery store. And I love their chicken tenders. There's also a few stores in Iowa under Kwik Star.

Funny story about drop and hooks. Magnum is a small enough company that I remember which trailers I've pulled when i hook up to one. I pulled an older Thermoking for several loads then dropped it off at Michael Foods in Elizabeth. It ended up back in Gaylord and sat in the yard for a week then it was preloaded and I picked it up again. And I've been pulling it for the last 4 or 5 loads. It has a massive belt squeal for a second or two when the reefer kicks into high gear but otherwise runs fine with no issues. I've thought about switching it out for a newer trailer but I don't really want to, because I know this reefer is good. Not to say I've pulled junky reefers here but when I drove for Schneider, some of the trailers you picked up were real pieces of work...

Was in Grand Forks yesterday backed into the door, 15 minutes later they call me tell my load is in Fargo, head to Fargo. Get to Fargo give them my pu# we don’t have it, checks email they sent the load to them 15 minutes before I got there. “We don’t have that product. Then head to park rapids, 4 hours my appointment “we don’t have that product. Then get sent to Hibbins to load. Evidently 3 more loads today at PR got canceled for no product.

Also just a heads up, they're calling for some pretty gnarly weather throughout much of the Dakota's and northwestern Minnesota starting tonight. Be safe if you're driving through the area.

First major winter storm of the season here. I hope you new recruits are ready for 6 months of this stuff.

Those ad posts were zapped before most members saw them. Hat's off to the Mods for stepping up and cleaning out posts like those so we can keep this a driver's forum and not an advertisement platform

Retired from doing heavy haul about a year ago. Went back to hauling dirt around in a belly. Boss says how about a new trailer, i said sure. This is what i got. Can haul up to 42 ton, 35 ton legal. Back to heavy hauling. How is everyone doing? Is Winny still on here?

Kwik Trip and Kwik Stars can be great places to stop, but some aren't set up for trucks and they haven't bothered to distinguish the ones that can accommodate trucks from the ones that can't like Loves and Pilot have. Make sure you check you can get in and out before you head over.
