In that same argument you present things as the government is solely responsible such as the statement I pressed you on ("Let's not forget it was the government which paid to build a nation wide electric grid, and phone network...") you can walk it back now that's fine and my criticism remains that you over generalize to the point of being wrong.

I point it out because you seem knowledgeable so you add a lot of valuable information but if you misrepresent that information then it's worse than not learning anything and remaining oblivious.

And for this specific topic your premise of faster implementation through incetivization actually is a very bad outcome which goes to the heart of the debate regarding EV's at this specific point in time

Not sure if it’s been said but have you never seen a diesel truck being pulled by a diesel truck ?

autos go back further then most of you realize.

Fire trucks and garbage trucks were auto as far back as the 80s. At least.

I remember the county rebuilding their own and always having a few backup spares. I worked for them in the early 90s.

You’re correct. Truckers are scared of change. They all said they were gonna quit when Electronic logs came out too.

Ole Elon Musk might have gone cheap on the batteries now since he just spent what, 44 billion to buy twitter.

haha my piece of #### sat in the middle of an intersection for 4 hours the other day waiting for another diesel to come and tow it. Great spectacle for the school kids watching people pull up behind it even though the hazards were on and triangles were out.
The Auto in it has been the most reliable part of it.

Yeh not so sure there, almost every trucker I have met resistance change hole heartedly, same for the general public.

Its not until many have changed before them, or they can eventually understand the path forward as a good thing and won't destroy their peercieved world, or it has been forced upon them, they accept change.
