Delivered the load from California to Iowa, bounced 90 miles to Fort Dodge and grabbed a preloaded trailer going to Lincoln. Dropped that this morning, then bounced 8 miles to the new drop yard in Lincoln (Midwest towing) grabbed a trailer headed to Four Oaks, NC. Currently taking a 34 in Percival, Iowa.

    ##### Crete and Aurora were running behind yesterday/last night. Delivered Aurora at 17:00 yesterday, load out had already canceled, got a load out of Crete 70 miles away, not thrilled but whatever. Then as I'm about to head to Crete I notice there's no trailer number on the dispatch, so I call Nestle to check and naturally that load that was supposed to be ready at 14:00 still hadn't been started yet!. So I Decided to roll the dice and spend the night In Aurora in hopes that there would be a load ready in Aurora this morning. No such luck, ended up heading to Crete this morning anyhow. Oh well, win some lose some, Suppose To get some detention out of it anyways,, so that'll help. Dropping this on the Tulsa yard and grabbing one heading up to Sioux city for tomorrow. Hoping for a Albuquerque out of there to deliver Monday. Staying out till Saturday this week just gonna head home for a quick restart and roll. Drive safe y'all

So I have a few friends that are still over at Abilene, I think we have a total of 5 drivers over here at FCC that were once driving green trucks. When I was over there 10 years ago their operations department was dysfunctional on a good day, but I since they were swallowed up by Knight/Swift a few years ago, things haven’t improved, they’ve gotten worse.

So a driver I talk with several times a week over there tells me these stories of complete incompetence when it comes to planning and dispatching of drivers. He laughs it off, but I told him your like a woman in an abusive relationship. The man beats her, and then apologizes, and swears it will never happen again. Of course he continues to use her as a punching bag, and she just puts up with it.

I don’t get it, FCC is 180 degrees different than over there, and four others who have been at both places can attest to that fact.

    Preach Brother, Preach!!!

    From Recruiting to Maintenance…
    From Planning to Safety…
    And ALL Points in between…

    … 180 degrees different!!!

But I do understand why some might stay. I couldn’t make the jump until I moved out of South Florida and others don’t live on our lanes.

But it’s well worth it if they can.

(Although I did LOVE that Big Green Volvo … this KW was noticeably less spacious the last couple weeks with my passenger)

    Minor cost to moving.

Had a Load from SC to the Minneapolis St Paul area the. And then a short 400 mile skip n jump to Omaha.

Heading to the CB Shop now for a simple 8k and APU maintenance.

Then grabbing a trailer off the lot there heading to Philadelphia for Monday. Only my second trip to the NE… can’t say I miss that area but I’ll certainly take my turn without complaint.

You might pack a pistol and some penicillin if headed that way. I saw where Mexico is using images from there to promote their anti-drug program, lol.

Are you actually going to Philly, or Moorestown? I always like to stop by the Middlesex Diner in Carlisle when I get out that way. That, or the 83 Diner down in York.
