GOBBLE GOBBLE

I had my turkey day this past weekend.
A nice 21 pounder, and it was fresh - not frozen, and it was without all that garbage they put in most of them.

 

I ate at Denny's.

 

It could have been worse - you could have had diner with my Dad's family. Beautiful looking but utterly bland food, served cold with conversation so dull it would make you admit the earth is round just so they'd shut up.

 

The likely reason that the dinner conversation is so dull is because no one wants to be removed from anyone's Christmas list.

 

Probably better than what I had at the Iron Skillet in Reno, lol.

 

We stopped doing inter-family Christmas gifts when my Dad's mom finally went to hell. And this is a much more exiting version of the conversation

 

The Black Bear Diner across the road was closed?

 

Ugh..didn’t know that there was one here. Black Bear Diner is my favorite.

This is the first time I’ve actually stopped here for longer than just getting fuel.

 

My mistake. I was thinking of the TA in Reno. And why the heck must there be Reno and Sparks? Why not just Reno?
I guess Reno could no longer hold its claim to fame as the world's biggest little city if it incorporated Sparks.

Yeah, I went on a little rant there.
