Just wondering where I use to live in VT I had free parking. Where I moved to and I've searched like crazy but no free parking, I've found a descent spot but of course the restaurant owner charges me 250.00 each hometime he has minimum 30 days of course don't use 30 days more like 15 to 17 days, without having to sign an agreement and my truck is at least for the most part safe, and a good neighborhood and 10 miles from house. Again I'm a company driver, they pay parking when on the road. for parking if needed, but not during hometime. Can I deduct the 250.00 paid a few times during the year?
Is having to Pay to park your company truck during your hometime Tax Deductible?

take all that to your accountant, not your uncle Bob, or the neighbors 5 year old
let your CPA tell you. the most you'd have to do if he/she says no..??
toss them into the trash.
get into the habit of making a paper trail. -
Yes I use to keep all my recipes and also used the per diem, but that changed by govt...so no more deductions unless your an Owner OP..which I'm not n have no desire to bebuddyd157 Thanks this. -
keep all paper work, let the accountant take care of it, or inform him. -
I met a company driver way back that use to pay rent for spot to park the company equipment. He said to the cost of gas and abuse of his personal car to drive to the company yard every day was cheaper paying for the spot than abusing his car back and forth every day.

Short answer yes its tax deductible. Long answer well that depends how much deductions do you have a year as a company driver. Most of the time it wouldn't be worth even trying to claim it you shouldn't even come close to the amount needed.
