Ya, those cribbing stands were pre-made so the angle end pieces definitely weren't right up against the pipe, another issue was, with the arch on my trailer one of them on the first set of pipe completely popped out while in transit. I nailed it down to my deck but it still wasn't directly touching the pipe... like I said, pretty sketchy... Definitely was slow rolling in the right lane. Was happy to get it off for sure... This was a Easy strap&go load but not from a broker. This was a good agent at my company that I like...

 

Looks to me you did it right.

 

Recent loads

 

next time take 2 junk straps folded in 3 and flop them over as a cushion between the pipes and use 2 straps pulling away from each bottom pipe (2 inch will work). Then I would use at least 4 straps for 20ft pipe and 6 for 40ft pipe with at least 2 pulling each way.

 

Yeah, I could see that. I almost forgot, though with that height, it wouldn't have probably helped, would have been pipe stakes. 8 ft tall ones......
