I’m a veteran driver of 25 years and 2 1/2 years ago I got a dui. So I can either go it on my own to try and get my cdl back but with no truck to take the skills test I’m stuck, I thought about trying to find a company that would help me out if I drove for them. So idk does anyone have any suggestions please. Thanks

Thanks for that information. I called the dot state police and they said since I had a cdl that all I needed to do was get my permit and pay a reinstatement fee. But since it’s been so long since I lost my cdl that I would have to take the skills test. Like I said I don’t have a truck or another driver to drive it.

a lot of cdl testing centers have or know of a guy you can rent one from from$150-$250, truck & trailer.
Even the small town i live in is like $175 for an international day cab and an old40’ tandem flatbed

I googled my state for authorized CDL test facilities found the closest was SAGE and that for a little extra money they provide the truck. This is what I did but I would study the pre trip side to be sure I was sharp for the test . O and dont be like me I showed up with my MED card 5 days expired that was costly but glad i caught it there and not on the road.
