Wonder how heavy that was and what transmission. 18 in LL should of lifted off without a problem. That's just beating on the truck

That's why they use pushers for the big jobs.

I may be wrong, but my thoughts are that the driver was in the wrong gear climbing the hill, rpms dropped suddenly and came to a stop before he could downshift. Can’t make out the drives, but it looks like a 6 axle rig.

He had the right idea at the very end,
straighten out pull - by going to the curb,
    but wrong execution.
    Should have cut opposite,
and slow drift back a foot,
get straight, then swing wide as possible.

I'm no expert on heavy haul,
can only say what I would have tried.

Inexperienced driver, or vengeful "clutch hater."
Kinda seems staged, or like showing off to me.

I hate seeing mechanical objects being abused,
like the runaway diesel engine videos.

I’ve done that in PA with a maxed out load of potatoes, lol. Narrow country road with a sharp curve and the mother of all steep climbs..Rpm’s dropped so fast I couldn’t downshift fast enough..

Except for the trees in the background, it almost looked like a section of I-8 going into San Diego, where it was like a mile going almost straight up...I swear I was in like 2nd or 3rd gear the whole way if I was lucky, may even have had to downshift to get speed up again also. :)

It depends on the rears. If you are running 3.36’s it will not do the job 5.30’s will. And it was pretty #### heavy.

There's a hill going to an Amish farm we deliver coal to that doesn't even look steep, but it hits hard. From 50 mph to trying to find 3rd gear before it's too late in no time lol.
