Hi guys, I have a Kenworth t660 which has two battery disconnect switches installed outside the battery box. When switches are turned off, that kills all power to the truck. I just installed a 2000-watt inverter directly to one of the batteries negative and positive battery post and works great.

My question here is, how can I wire the inverter so that the power is also killed to the inverter when the battery disconnect switch is turned off?

    Thanks in advance.

Add another breaker between the power source like the factory ones. You cut the wire between the inverter and the batteries and add the breaker. but, if your inverter has a on and off button it shouldn’t drain the batteries while off anyways. So I wouldn’t bother.

Pick one of the main battery shutoffs. Shut it off. Put your inverter hot cable on the lug that does not have power on it while the switch is off.
