Add to the list what looks like black silicone to seal the front cover. Supposed to use anerobic red sealer. Probably wouldn’t have leaked even with the cracks, had they used it. Did they note the type of pistons? Cooling nozzles? Yes/No ? Block drilled for nozzles and capped off? Inquiring (nosey)) minds need to know.

Write the injector calibration codes down while the valve covers off. They’ll probably check the ecm and make sure the proper codes are set. I suggest writing them down also. That way, if someone ever changes them in an attempt to “help” you out, and it only causes a rough idle, you’ll have original codes noted.

It all sounds good. Now you can paint that hood!!
D.Tibbitt, austinmike and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
I haven’t decided yet but it will be black or blue. Black would be good since it has the buckskin interior. If I paint it blue I may swap the interior and have blue made. Found a place in TX and I like a style they did for a Peterbilt.D.Tibbitt, Bean Jr., Dave_in_AZ and 4 others Thank this. -
Got the truck back this past Friday. I am very pleased with the outcome. No leaks whatsoever. Not even a drip. Sealed up everything correctly. Got my jakes hooked up. It wasn’t difficult he just knew what he was doing. Even fixed my fan running nonstop. I didn’t even ask he just saw it and called me. I was gonna trace this out myself but let them do it. Broken wire to ECM.
The vibration is better but not gone. They couldn’t find what is causing it. I think replacing the front motor mounts helped. This is a little annoying but maybe it is as good as it gets. Time will tell.
The bill was higher than I would have liked but they have higher shop rates. And obviously they did a lot of labor. I won’t complain because they did fix the issues and gave me evidence for court. Not too concerned as that is being wrapped into the lawsuit.
Overall I am mentally in a better state. Started some oilfield hauling this week. I will call it semi local. Always within 2 hours of the house but I don’t go home everyday. Waste of fuel in time IMO. I still have my dryvan if this gets slow, so I am well positioned to stay profitable.
Thanks again for everyone’s comments and concerns. I learned a lot just from this thread. I was hesitant to originally post it due to embarrassment and pride.Bean Jr., IH9300SBA, Swine hauler and 12 others Thank this.
