    My company I’m avg 3346 mi at that mileage rate..so it can be done by drivers who are at good companies who know who to operate.

    It isn't though. I am primarily east coast regional so I don't run the long coast to coast loads (by choice, they are offered to me) and I can still hit 3K per week with ease.

    To my fellow IRT members on here, if you go to Mayer Brothers in West Seneca, NY to pick up a load, you have to get an empty weight scale prior to arriving. After being loaded, you will have to get a heavy weight scale ticket and return it prior to receiving your paperwork from shipping. The truck stop to use is called “Jim’s Truck Plaza” in Buffalo. The address is 2125 Walden, Ave in Cheektowaga, NY. It’s about 12 miles from the shipper, so I figured I would post this to save anyone the hassle of arriving without one. I think the customer is fairly new, so dispatch hadn’t updated the comment section about the requirement yet. It’s a pretty tight back in that involves a blindside 60-90 degree jack. You can park there overnight, but fair warning the parking lot can be a mud slop if it’s wet (not much pavement). If you can’t find room to park between the box vans, Connley tank wash is only 5 minutes away and will have room to sleep. Don’t let the name of the towns confuse you, it’s all in the Buffalo, NY area.

    They had a scale last time I loaded there, it must be down. I would have gone straight in again expecting to scale on site if you hadn't posted.

    It is in place currently. I don't know any details as far as requirements, but I do know someone who had a trainee with him a couple weeks ago. The trainee had a few months experience so no clue if fresh school graduates are accepted.

    He told me it wasn't team driving and that safety left it entirely up to him how the truck ran so he opted to run it as a solo operation meaning noone was sleeping when the truck was moving. He was getting a flat rate to train so it's not like he would have a mileage incentive to run it as team.

    The shipper did mention something about their scale being down. Hopefully it’s only temporarily. I arrived without one and the IRT driver in front of me got out and came back to my truck to let me know. Had he not done that, I would’ve sat there waiting my turn only to be turned around. All of the snow from that monstrous storm had melted and made the parking lot a nasty mess. A waitress at the TA in Pembroke told me the employees had to sleep at the TA for 3 days during that. She also said the pipes froze and the bathrooms were down with everyone stranded there. According to her, multiple people threw a big party outside with music, drinks, and a bonfire in the dumpster.

    No APUs there. What do you all do when stuck in California during the summer or any other no-idle state for that matter? I notice they have a terminal or yard in California too, so it's not like they only run parts of the country that are idle friendly.
