Hub and drum appears to be one unit

    Can anybody help me.

    I have a 1989 freightliner fld 120 and the front driver side bearings are going out in hub also alot of intense vibration in that front driver side between 65 and 75 mph. I took the wheel off expecting to pull the drum and address the hub but it appears that the hub and drum are one unit. What is that called. how do i get it off. Ive never seen such a setup?

    Whole assembly is probably held on by the wheel bearings.

    Those are called “Inboard” drums, I had a set on my 1969 Trailmobile flatbed back in the days. Hated them.

    I don’t have any idea if there available. Get some part numbers of it. Your gonna need a wire brush to clean up where they part numbers are. I believe you can split them up(hub and drum), you might need some power tools for that.

    After the drum/hub assembly is off you can separate them.
    Haven't seen inboard setup in 35 years. Might get a lot of money from a museum LOL
