    Forced downshift?

    In the automotive world the things that force an automatic to downshift when you put your foot in it are called kick-down system.

    They may be a bent rod link, cable, or switch & Solenoid arrangements between the carb/throttle body and automatic transmission.

    Looks like that truck has Automatic braking assist. (ABA)
    Does it have an automated transmission?
    If it down shifts, it will override the ABA system.

    I don’t know, seen the dash and all the lights and seen that on there and had no clue about it.
    Was looking up freightliner cascadia dash and seen that photo

    My 2021 every time you turn the key on that is what the dash displays. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the truck. It is just running through pre flight check list

    It has a 4700 RDS allison in it. So it is actually less horsepower (565 vs 605) than our rotator which weighs about 10k less because the allison can't handle as much input hp as the 18 speed can.

    Right now completely empty without any rigging or nothing it scales at 85,000.

    I think ours when we got it scaled at around 72,000 and now it sits at 74,800.
