I’m signing up for a few jobs but can only find companies that give out 40-45 hours a week. I’m used to working 60+hours a week. What jobs or companies out there are not shy about giving away hours? I have hazmat and tanker, I have worked for food service before, but will never go back to Sysco/us foods. So what are my options? Thanks!

    What are your options?

For the best answers, we really need some more info from you:

    • How much total CDL-A driving experience do you have? Is most of that (if any) fairly recent?
    • What city/state is closest to you?
    • Is you driving record clean? If not--please specify.
    • Is your criminal history clean? If not--please specify.
    • Can you easily pass/ace a drug screen? SAP grad?
    • How much hometime do you want/need? Daily? Weekly? Something else?
    • What type(s) of freight interest you the most?
    • Do you find multiple questions annoying/offensive? Y/N......:p:D

I would say with HAZMAT that it is clean. Atleast in up until the previous 5 years :D

    - Sounds like a good Tanker candidate.

Oilfield is the best for a lot of hours. They are fracking all over. The US Oilfied DOT rules are a little different, you'll get a lot of on duty hours, some non -dot hours. You can get 80+ hours in a week easy.

Pretty much any job not on elog. Look for an outfit running gliders if you want long haul.

There is more to trucking than mega fleets on elogs..

    You got the X endorsement?
Maybe look into the company I worked for. OFC Liquid Trucking. They are 20 miles south of Omaha NE.
They pay hourly, you will run down your clock. 34 restarts are paid too. Lot of ethanol, alcohol loads.
