I wonder if he ever mentioned how many loads he picked up/delivered late due to excessive gaming. 30 minute breaks turning into 40 minutes, 50 minutes..."just one more level!" He's just one more stinky fish I would've thrown back in the pond. Sink or swim. I must be getting old, the "get off my lawn" guy.

What i find funny about the whole xbox thing is how many drivers i meet who live on them. I know ive gotten more then one odd look or insult for sitting in the lounge on my 34 reading a physical book or even having my tablet out for an E-book.
Sure i have an xbox but i mostly keep it for when im bored and out of books on my 34 or to interact with family. Hell i only have it because it was quite literally thrown at me by an irate friend who is miffed i never game with him....and it gets used all of once or twice a month. Makes me agree with load though. I wonder how many of them are late all the time because they goof off on it.
Also im always shocked how many of these guys dont have a laptop either and try to do it all from a phone or if they do have a laptop its always a power hungry gaming rig that tends to pop inverter fuses. The one i use for my business is a little tiny thing i can charge off USB either my truck or a solar power bank if i need to and something majorly borked in my truck.JoeyJunk, Siinman, kemosabi49 and 4 others Thank this. -

The issue i see is that its one of the more common distractions that can easily let time get away from you and people prioritizeing IT above more practical applications. Take ridges story, guy was more concerned with his xbox then laptop. Laptop would have been what i went for in a situation like that. Therefor without more info we must assume the guy likely has self control issues and inwas wondering out loud how common that is.
I also see people lugging around giant gaming laptops that either they cant charge in the truck if things go sideways. Many do not have them at all and try to do it all from a phone with no backup again if things go sideways. Hell i had my phone flat out stolen last year. If i had relied only on it i would have been in trouble. Hence my comments about my light usb laptop.
Hope that clarifys more what i was trying to say. -
Yes its partly the parents fault for letting them sit in the house and game 90% of them don't even know how to operate a scoop shovel or how do physical labor
But even if they knew how they couldn't last more than 3 mins cause their just breathing chunks of fat cellulose cause they sit on the couch with soda pop and chips & candy bars shoved in their pieholes all day while their play on their PS 5..
Its sicking to see and another reason why I'am not a parent or married nor do I ever want to be either cause Iam not gona fight with my wife about my kid sitting on the couch all day gaming instead of doing something productive
Yeah I guess I'am way to old school -
