Are There Any Trucking Schools That Aren't a Joke?!

I was a third party CDL examiner in Wisconsin... that's nonsense. If you hit a curb on a graded turn, you're done. If you rub or strike a curb anywhere else and "don't notice it".. your done. If you roll over a curb anywhere... you're done

 

Whats Nonsense?

I say allowing a driver to hit curbs on a pre determined and tested road corse is Nonsense!
Why not allow them to ride the burm, cross center lines or turn onto one way streets a few times before calling it a fail as well?

I have failed many for hitting the curb!

 

Rubbing 1 is 1. Going up one is 1 going down 1 is 1. So if you rub it is 1, if you actually go up and down thats 2.

 

I'm dumbfounded that you actually accepted them hitting something on a test. But it does make sense of all the bad drivers we see that don't have a clue where thier tandems are at when they are making turns. You gave them a license!

 

I? ME? I dont. The state test does... Or should I say it did, once upon a time (20 years ago). It certainly could have changed since then (and likely has). Which would imply that tests have gotten harder rather than easier...
