Locomotive alternators. Looks like my tarping skills are improving. I wasn’t sure the angle for the drop tarp on the front and back. Maybe it needs to go more straight down.

Inch and a quarter rebar. 24’ long and 13 straps. 2 belly wraps each top and bottom. I always am paranoid of braking hard and getting impaled lol. This week turned out to be my most profitable week in probably 6 months.

I don't see it in the picture you posted, but that's what a header is supposed to help prevent, if you put one in front of those rebars so they hit the header rather than gain momentum and become projectiles. Need to see the header. :)

When you do any type of wrap, always run the end that will pull tight (winch end) under the hooked end.
Off setting one pocket/spool will help. This way when you tighten the strap, it won’t pinch down on itself and will fully tighten the strap.

12 wide to Windsor Ct, twice. The first one was a little crooked on the wagon, I probably should’ve been permitted for 13’ but who’s gonna pay the escorts? 17C65103-9758-4F40-94E7-09FCA75F90A0.jpeg E165BDC5-C60E-4742-A29C-8FD8DAC07F27.jpeg

Yeah I did offset one spot down with the belly wraps but yes you’re right to put the winch side under and not over like I did. Still learning. I would like to have a bulkhead but I don’t have enough dunnage and I’m too heavy really to add 6 more for a bulkhead. I really need to be able to scale 48k.

What do you all think of belly wraps that go under, over, then under again? Are they still effective or do you need to go over, under, over?

Over under over is better. If the bundle tries to roll the entire strap will have to slide around it to roll. The bundle will effectively be pulling against the opposite direction it is rolling.

If you do under over under and the bundle starts rolling it isn't pulling against anything. It can just roll sideways over the top of the strap and your wrap will just roll with it.

Here's a not great drawing I did quick.

That makes perfect sense. Thank you. Reason I do the belly strap mostly is to secure the inside bundles. I’ve seen where the outside stays put and the inside bundles shoot forward.

It's case by case. You've already got a million pounds of downforce there. Under over under in that case would provide better side squeeze. The closer to the edges of the trailer the load is, the less effective an over under over belly strap is at squeezing.

Basically, if the load is wide, under over under.

If it's narrow, over under over.

If you don't need the downforce, then go for max squeeze.
