Indiana: Child missing after being publicly humiliated by parents

Tough call, without knowing all the details stories like this inevitably leave out.

 

Child Protective services will return him to home after interviews. Unless there is physical abuse substantiated.
I used to work at childrens shelters and saw stuff like this often

 

Actually, this sounds like one that won't involve returning the child to the home. Sounds a lot like parents being arrested after the body is found.

Especially at that age, 14 is subject to spastic reactions, I remember that part very well.

 

I hope you and I are wrong about this, but yeah, the true-crime part of me tells me this kid is deceased. And I'll bet this is not the first time his parents have abused him.

The statement from his mother sounds like someone who is absolutely desperate to regain control.

Just because he had to wear a shirt with hurtful words on it and it’s abuse? I most of grown up in an alternate universe.

 

We’ve taken the ability for parents to use corporal punishment in disciplining their child, so he has to wear a t shirt as a form of punishment. Oh the humanity.

When I was growing up I had bars of soap stuck in my mouth for talking back, spanked and slapped with anything within reach, including rolling pins, belts, fly swatters, etc.

The youth in this country went South about the time everyone started getting participation trophies.
