Living in Maine, being white & surrounded by white people in what alternates as the whitest state in the nation (ME/VT - AND I'm originally from VT) - I'll tell ya, the laziest MF'ing folk I see are white. N'er do wells that act hedonisticly. Just animalistic enough to #### and make little replicas of themselves. I'd rather work with the Hondurans & Jamaicans that come in every season to till Beth's farm (/farmers market).... I ain't gonna judge you on the color of your skin. But I will certainly bring to question your willingness to bust hump to get a job done. Lot of the whites around here aren't worth even a casual association.

I really have no problem with ones that actually work and contribute.. Some of the best work you can find... Its all the drugs and #### that comes over along with some of them. Which is the problem here and the problem that will always exist until the government has to deal with those people first hand. Something like 60% of the drugs in the u.s. come thru the desert from i-8 to the border.. Which is where i live. Can say the short time ive been alive,he problem has never improved only gotton worse, no matter the administration...guess it creates job security for many government organizations i suppose

Went to a new to me Q joint. Ordered brisket sandwich and cole slaw. Said can I get some pickles and onions. She said we don't have pickles and onions here.
Say what? So I said I've got some at home. Never seen a Q joint that didn't have pickles and onions. Two sandwiches and two sides was 28 bucks. Both were mediocre at best. This place. No pictures lol

It seems as if the Mexican Restaurant expanse/chain up thru here; TN, KY is an eastern Mexican underground railroad for the illegals, as the slave escape route was in times past. In my last few years visiting from MS to Lex KY, we often dine with them.
Observation is that a restaurant will have many excess hands available. So, cross the border, get to a city with a Mex restaurant, begin work. Livelihood built in as you pick up the lingo/customs/etc. Spend some time, move on to a larger city, rinse and repeat. In a couple o years, be in Baltimore, part owner with Jose and acclimated. into the culture...

Perhaps a more cost effective and more appropriate way to do things.....

How about forcing the DC crowd to function and work in the border towns for a month or so each year? Force them on 50 or 60 person rotation to help them update their perspective. Just need a couple old hotels with a couple of conference rooms, resort type places would be a NO! Force them to go outside for meals and such.

A group of friends went deer hunting and paired off in twos for the day.
That night, one of the hunters returned alone, staggering under the weight of an eight-point buck.

The others were surprised and asked him, “Where’s Joe?”
“Joe fell and broke his leg. He’s a couple of miles back up the trail,” the successful hunter replied.
The other hunters were even more surprised at this and asked him, “‘You left Joe laying out there and carried the deer back?”

The hunter nodded and said, “It was a tough call, but I figured no one is going to steal Joe!”

Yep that's one way it has worked.

There is an addendum though. Now Jose is having his extended family back home send up more help, direct, bypassing the railroad. Unfortunately Jose can not sponsor migration nor get an H1B visa for them.
