Upgraded Coolant Reservoir 2017 Kenworth T680

Hello, I need to replace my coolant reservoir on my 2017 T680 with a Cummins. I called the dealer and they advised that the reservoir has been upgraded and I will need to have some fittings and a hose changed. Or I can just purchase the original one for much cheaper. What exactly does the upgrade consist of and is it worth the price to get the upgraded one and have those fitting and hose changed. Thank you

 

Yeah, those were my thoughts initially. I don’t see the reason for the upgrade considering the trucks don’t overheat because of the reservoir

 

Yeah that’s what they told me, but the “upgraded” reservoir is so much more expensive than the original. Did you get the upgraded one? And was it worth it? ? Truck runs cooler? I just can’t see the upside of the price tag

 

Most likely I will do the same thing. Shouldn’t be too hard
