Would any of you use an ELD without being forced to?

    I used Map Developers.com after doing some research on the topic. Came across Front Range Compliance.com Former or current DOT officers. Yes, I used 150 air miles and Nautical just to be sure. That whole nautical vs air miles can be confusing but thanks to FRCS, they made it easier. Bottom line, the guy is off by a lot. Now if he moved his home office further south, he would be spot on but, where he is located now puts a drop off out of the map. I was thinking about talking to him about it because he has a great dedicated run I would love to get on, and it would put me home every night, which I am not right now.

    Yeah, air miles and nautical miles are the same thing. Just draw a circle that is 150nm or 173 statute miles around the office. I use Google Earth.

    You probably should at least ask him about it. Maybe he doesn't understand.
